Standardize construction quality management, strengthen the safety barrier of engineering, and create an industry benchmark project

GB/T 50430-2017, officially named "Quality Management Specification for Engineering Construction Enterprises," was issued by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and is China's first national standard for quality management of construction enterprises. It covers the entire process including bidding, contract signing, on-site survey, drawing design, work instruction preparation, control of personnel, machinery, and materials entering the site, construction process management and inspection, and completion and acceptance of the project. When enterprises in the construction industry within China apply for ISO 9001 quality management system certification, they must simultaneously meet the requirements of the GB/T 50430 standard. The core goal of this standard is to promote standardized management of construction enterprises, avoid quality risks at the source, and comprehensively enhance the industry's quality management level and market competitiveness.

As the country tightens its quality control over projects, the bidding threshold for the construction industry continues to rise. GB/T 50430 has shifted from a "bonus item" to an "entry requirement." Companies without this qualification will miss out on many business opportunities for projects. For construction companies, preparing for GB/T 50430 certification in advance is not only a mandatory requirement for market access, but also a key measure to achieve refined management, reduce rework costs, and earn customer trust.
